About Beeston

Beeston lies to the south-west of the Nottingham University campus. All the student houses listed below lie within about one mile (1.6km) of Nottingham University West Entrance or about a 20 minute walk. Most are in streets off Queens Road which is a major bus route to the university and the city of Nottingham beyond. There are small shops and take-aways nearby, Beeston High Street is about 5 minutes walk and the Sainsbury's supermarket is about ten minutes walk.

Beeston is an important location for postgraduate student accommodation in Nottingham and is popular with postgraduates and overseas students. It is a quiet area ideal for those who attach importance to their studies.

About Dunkirk

Dunkirk lies very close to the South Entrance of the university and the house is within 5 minutes walk. It also lies close to the main bus route on University Boulevard. Dunkirk is popular with students who want to live as close as possible to the main university campus.

About Lenton

Lenton lies to the east of the University between the main campus and the city centre and the houses below are within 20 minutes walk of the East Entrance. Lenton is traditionally popular with undergraduates with convenient access to both the University and the amenities and activities available in the city centre.

More information

Most of the houses have four study bedrooms with one student per room. I do not have shared rooms so I have no rooms for couples. Of course, two rooms can be rented by a couple in one house.

Each house has a lounge, a kitchen and a bathroom and these are shared by the tenants.

Utility bills (gas and electricity) are handled by the tenants and shared amongst them, as is the charge for the internet. Approximate cost for utilities averages about £30pm, per tenant, with a lower cost over the summer and a higher cost in winter.

Most tenants are students at Nottingham University (often overseas postgraduates) but I also have tenants from Nottingham College and Nottingham Trent University.
